Caracol Mayan Temples
This tour departs from your hotel in San Ignacio town or Mountain Pine Ridge at approximately 7:30 am. We will drive southwest to the Chiquibul Forest Reserve to visit the famous Caracol Maya site, the largest Mayan city in Belize. This guided tour includes a visit to “Canaa,” the largest and most impressive temple in Belize. After a picnic lunch at Caracol, we will continue exploring the rainforest of the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve, with stops to see the Rio Frío Cave and the Rio On Pools (natural pools).
